Open Mobility App
To be able to use all the mobility services a city has to offer, citizens often have to use a host of different apps. To help counter this complexity, EDAG is working with a number of German communities on an open-source mobility app that combines all of a community’s services in a single user interface.
The modular principle enables every customer to select whichever functions are called for to meet the requirements and needs of their local communities.
These individual services can be combined in a customizable home screen. Using a live mobility map, various elements can be filtered and routes planned. The integration of third-party apps, booking and payment options creates a central hub for the community’s mobility requirements. A standardized process permits the simple and value-adding integration of individual services at various different depths.
Every municipality can commission its own tools, and the open source concept means that these can also be used by other clients. The aim is to make the vision of a community managed super app reality.
