New Smart City study

a study on effective smart city strategies in cities and towns.

The Competence Centre for Public Economy, Infrastructure and Public Services (KOWID) at the University of Leipzig and PSPC GmbH have published a study on effective smart city strategies in towns and cities.

According to this, all the experts interviewed are focussing on similar areas: digital administration, energy supply/energy services, energy efficiency, mobility, districts and digitalisation/digital infrastructure and networking.

The main obstacle to the successful implementation of a smart city concept is a lack of financial and personnel resources.
